The African fashion up hosts yet another edition of their African designers fashion show that is to take place on 26th of june 2025 by 5pm at the Bridge pont Alexander 111, Paris.

This competition aims at celebrating the indigenous fashion culture in Africa and giving them a platform to showcase their talents as well as their skills through their various fashion pieces whilst highlighting contemporary African fashion, promoting talented designers and ultimately shedding light on the vibrance of African fashion and the creativity of African designers.

Amongst 300 candidates from all over Africa. Cameroon, Ethiopia, Nigeria and south Africa.

The Africa fashion up jury members met to select winners of the 2025 edition. After much speculation and debating, the jury emerged with 6 winners. And impressively, Nigerian fashion brands have been duly noticed and selected as part of the 6 winners.

Banke kuku a notable African designer from Lagos Nigeria has been selected as one of the winners of this fifth edition of African fashion up. The banke kuku brand uses her fashion as an art to paint the beautiful cultures that Africa embodies. Renowned for her expertise in textile art and fashion design, and a scope that transcends clothing, Banke kuku's work beautifully integrates interior design, reflecting her diverse skill set and artistic vision. Through her designs, Nigerian culture is globally recognized, fostering greater appreciation and growth of African fashion.

Peter Odion, the founder of the OSHOBOR brand, from benin city, Nigeria is deeply rooted in the Edo culture and tells beautiful stories through its designs.

Odion Peter makes it known that the OSHOBOR brand was birthed for exploring themes of masculinity and emotional depth. OSHOBOR has been not only been recognized here in Africa, but also on international mediums like new York fashion week and more.

Frank Aghuno a talented designer also, from Lagos Nigeria, founder of fruchè, bases his designs majorly on contemporary fashion.

Each of his pieces synthesizes traditional culture with modernity. His pieces are know for his artisanal techniques.

The fruchè brand has obtained recognition in the fashion world, participating in well known events like the Lagos fashion week.

Dibo, sume, and fese three sisters from cameroon that came together to form the Eloli world brand. Eloli meaning "it is beautiful"

This brand was founded in 2012 by the three sisters

Eloli is popularly known for it's vibrant colours and textured designs that showcase African heritage and culture. Eloli has been featured in notable brands like Elle and Vogue.

The sisters say that their designs represent modern people who are proud of where they came from and excited about where they are going - past, present and future, woven together in an expression of beauty.

Hawii Midekessa, founder of the Ethiopian brand. HAWII fuses identity and individuality through its designs, reflecting Ethiopian roots and culture.

In Hawii's world, fashion isn't just about garments, it's a canvas for self expression

The HAWII brand has gained international recognition in major cities like Paris and New York.

Samkelo xaba, the founder of BOYDE brand from South Africa has also been selected as part of the 6 winners of this year's edition.

Samkelo's designs are well known for his eye-catching mixing of colors and textures to create minimalistic pieces.

The BOYDE brand was founded in 2017, in Johannesburg South Africa. And over the years, has earned acclaim for its innovative approach to sustainability and African heritage in fashion design.

The brand celebrates African culture and heritage through it's sophisticated suits and modern streetwear.

All six designers would be present on the 26th of june, 2025 in Paris to showcase their beautiful designs form their creative minds at the Africa fashion up show 2025.
