SHOW DEM CAMP did something different after 2 years of wait. The Lagos music group did an album collaboration with highlife music artists CAVEMEN and NSIKAK DAVID. This project was something new. Although fans had expected another CLONEWARS series album due to the hardship the nation is going through, that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t settle for this taste of something different. They did a mix with things. This felt like a PALMWINE MUSIC album but with a CLONEWARS headline. Mixing highlife with hip-pop was something we didn’t know we needed in these tough times.

NO LOVE IN LAGOS is not a romantic album but a triumph album. Yes, the first track would make you think it’s a love album however the rest of the album says otherwise. It highlights that “as a Nigerian, you’re on your own”.

NO LOVE IN LAGOS has to be one of the fan favorites. Speaking about how polygamy is a regular thing in the lagos dating pool and all man gats dey on guard in this city. While FALL speaks about the how the average man is viewed in that chaotic city. The song is just a good story. WHY is more of a highlife song than hip-pop. I loved how the track displayed that Show dem Camp can step up when being challenged. The slow beat and rap sync were really a lovely experience. BUGA was just all Nsikak David. All bro did was display he’s a genius guitarist. BLESSINGS just made you pray for better days. Hoping that all that hustle would be worth it at the end of the day. oh this track is to die for.

SHOW DEM CAMP is known for little promotion in their albums. They just give their fans good music and have a good time win their concerts. However, this was different. The Lagos music group had a little fun with danfoexpress. Hosting a little hangout for their fans with the fans loved. The music group knows that the country is hard and we all just all need a time to relax and celebrate.

The entire album was a great journey for me in total. I love the experimentation and the choice of featured artists. Adding CLONEWARS alums like; OBONGJAYAR and MOELOGO and denying us regulars like TEMS and BOJ features. Regardless, it’s a GREAT ALBUM. I still put this on repeat.
